The walk is taking place from 12pm at Snelsmore Common and there is the option to do a shorter 4 mile walk instead of the 8 mile walk Lindsey and Debbie will be aiming for. We would like to get a few other group members to join us – even if just to take photos and cheer us on at the start and finish, so if you’re interested, let us know.

Meeting Rooms 4 & 5, the West Berkshire Community Hospital

For the meeting on Tuesday April 7th, the group will be showing the recording of Fibromyalgia in 2009, a lecture by American Fibro expert Andrew Holman MD which took place at Guy’s Hospital, london just before Christmas.

Fibromyalgia in 2009 offers:

•  A comprehensive view of Fibromyalgia Syndrome from a doctor and researcher who is leading the way into new avenues of research.
• Discussion of sleep stage architecture and the involvement of the Autonomic Nervous System, two major factors in Fibromyalgia Syndrome.
• Discussion of positional cervical cord compression, a new area of research that may apply to many people with Fibro.
• A review of the latest trials of medications.

The lecture in December was fascinating and this presentation gives those people who were unable to attend that lecture a chance to hear what Dr Holman had to say.
